Half the Worlds Assets are Non-productive
Each night 40% of the world's hotel rooms go unused. Thousands of pages of print advertising, and thousands of hours of TV and radio advertising go unsold. Unbilled professional hours; rail and cargo ships deadheading; manufacturing plants operating at less than functional capacity; unused boats and aircraft; un-rented office, warehouse and retail space and non-productive land are all examples of non-productive assets. These assets represent billions of dollars of potential income that doesn't materialize and much of it can never be recovered.
